Most services take your money, hand you a "published" stamp, and disappear. FlameNet stays — through ISBNs, metadata, worldwide distribution via Ingram, direct sales, and the sovereignty of owning your own work. No surveillance, no lock-in, no extraction. Get published, and keep going.

The Path to Print
Four steps, fully guided
We sit on top of the real publishing infrastructure — Bowker for ISBNs, Ingram for distribution — and handle the parts that trip up most independent authors.
Step 01
Choose your imprint
Publish under the FlameNet Publications imprint, or as your own sovereign imprint. Your choice, made plainly.
Step 02
Upload metadata
Title, author, description, categories, pricing. Our dashboard formats it correctly for the supply chain.
Step 03
Get your ISBN
Assigned and registered so your book is identified everywhere it travels — no guesswork, no confusion.
Step 04
Reach the shelves
Your title enters the Ingram catalog that bookstores, Barnes & Noble, and libraries order from worldwide.
Publishing Packages
Publish for a fraction of what it costs alone.
A single ISBN bought alone runs $125. Through FlameNet, publishing — ISBN, metadata, and distribution setup — starts at $29.99. Pricing scales by how many ISBNs your book needs.
Why more than one ISBN? Each format of your book is a separate product in the supply chain and needs its own ISBN: paperback, e-book, and hardcover are three distinct ISBNs. A book in all three formats needs three. Choose the package that matches the formats you're releasing.

Two imprint paths, your choice. Publish under the FlameNet Publications imprint (FlameNet Publications, Inc., a Wyoming 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the publisher of record) so proceeds after overhead feed the mission — or as your own sovereign imprint, where you are the publisher of record and own the ISBN permanently. Either way, the ISBN is passed through at cost: the imprint is never a profit center built on your book.
FSBN — FlameNet Sovereignty Binding Number
Your book, recorded in the sovereign catalog.
Every title published through FlameNet receives an FSBN — a FlameNet catalog number that lives alongside the ISBN, printed in the book and shown in the storefront. It's how the FlameNet ecosystem records and references your work within its own sovereign archive, independent of any outside registry.

What "you keep 70% / 80%" means. On a digital direct sale (ebook, audiobook, music), the only deductions are the commission and the standard payment-processing fee — there's no print cost, which is digital's real advantage, so you keep close to 70% (or 80% as a verified nonprofit) after processing. On a physical book sold direct, the print cost comes out too, just as it would for any printed book anywhere — the commission percentage is the same, but a physical product carries its own manufacturing cost. Payment-processing fees apply to every sale, digital or physical, as they do everywhere online. We'd rather state this plainly than let a number imply more than it should.
Why this is the most an author can keep. The industry standard pushes a 55% wholesale discount — that's the retailer's cut, the portion of your list price the bookstore keeps. And it comes off first: after the retailer's 55%, the print cost and any fees are also deducted, and the author is paid from whatever remains — you're last in line. Going lower than 55% restricts which stores will carry you, and Ingram won't permit third-party sellers below a 35% discount. By selling direct through FlameNet Direct at a 30% commission (or 20% for verified nonprofits), far more of each sale reaches you than any wholesale path allows — and because we never require exclusive distribution, your book can still run the standard 55% wholesale terms to reach every other store. You lose nothing; you simply gain a higher-margin channel.
